Skrócony opis:

War and conflicts represent one of the most hideous violations to human rights, and have its most lasting and damaging consequences on children. Among the many rights that are compromised during a conflict is the right to education. There are currently 222 million children of school age living in contexts affected by humanitarian crises. Education must be one of the priorities in the framework of international humanitarian aid, but how to guarantee this right when critical infrastructure is destroyed and schools are often used as military targets? The seminar focuses on the multiple challenges involved in guaranteeing education in a conflict zone and dealing with the serious socio-emotional problems that it entails for children. We rely on theory of change (TOC) reports, success indicators, partnerships and humanitarian efforts in alignment with the Convention on the Rights of the Child and other relevant human rights treaties.
