The lectures are aimed at familiarizing the listeners with subjects referring to various dimensions of childhood and children's rights in multicultural societies. Phenomena and problems related to various dimensions of childhoods, the needs and rights of migrant, refugee, discriminated, marginalized and abused children- children ‘out of place’ will be discussed. 1. Child and childhood in multicultural societies (2h) 2. Child as a migrant – needs and rights in the multicultural environment (2h) 3. Children's rights and the education on children's rights – an interdisciplinary approach (1,5h) 4. Children ‘out of place’ – socially and culturally marginalized children and their rights (2h) 5. Childhood studies: indigenous childhoods and indigenous children’s rights (1,5h) |
