Social Pedagogy – as an Approach, a Scientific Discipline and a Practice

"Exit tickets" – quizzes at the end of each module (must be submitted at a given time and scored over 60% ) – You can work individually or in pairs

Language check – prepared on the e-learning platform by Foreign Languages Division

The course aims

to give students an understanding of social pedagogy both as an academic discipline and as an approach;

to teach students the social-pedagogical notions, ideas, and concepts;

to present students with a social-pedagogical perspective, useful in interpreting social life, social problems, and human development;

to encourage students to apply the social-pedagogical approach in your field of practice.

The course consists of 4 online sessions (starting the 21st of November) and one e-learning platform session.

In the first session, you get acquainted with themes we’ll be covering over the course and with the social pedagogy perspective. During the second session, you’ll learn the central guiding principles and notions of social pedagogy like environment, social inequalities, equalities, social bonds, inclusion and exclusion, equity, and the just society as a beneficial environment for individual development, growth, and education and social development. The next sessions will be devoted to different participatory and empowerment approaches and practices.
